"Rainbow" Alumni On Broadway

 Now this was interesting. Went with my wife today to see "Movin' Out" the Broadway play based on the music of Billy Joel. The show is the story of "Brenda and Eddie" from the 60s, through Vietnam and afterwards all choreographed to Billy Joel songs. Along with the dancers is a real tight
rocking band doing the Joel music. These guys were awesome and going through the playbill I found out who they were. All have impeccable credentials and three of them played with Rainbow back in the 80s. The only named I really recognized was Chuck Burgi on drums. I knew him from Brand X and Al DiMeola fame but didnt realize he was a Rainbow alumni. The bass player/back-up vocalist was Greg Smith who was with Rainbow at one time. And the last guy is David Rosenthal who is listed as Asst Musical
Supervisor, Synthesizer programmer and keyboard arranger. He's played or worked with a lot of people and has an interseting website: http://www.davidrosenthal.com Nice day out with some really good entertainment. BTW, if you dont like Billys music or modern dance interpretations of his
