seriously, I could see it both ways..... if you think the melodic nature of this tune premotes love, then who is anybody to say you're wrong.....but then again, it was written with a reflection of memories in my first stab at the lyrical design.... It could easily be a love song, and I could simply change the idea around.......my only debate in this argument, and it's only because I desire the right direction, is that even children move away from their friends.....it's not an age thing to be sad when you move away. if this pop world we know is a child's market, I still think that children will be able to relate to this sentiment and the sadness that the song may convey, especially if they just switched schools, or moved across state, etc...... IMHO I think it's more pure for a child like leanne rymes and/or britney spears (especially when they started out) to sing about a lost childhood friend....something they have had the experience of in their short years on this planet, than to sing about true love, when they probably have never tapped into that reality of life..... one of my turnoffs in pop music is when child prodigy stars are given love songs to sing by their labels when they haven't even reached puberty yet...... but I have lived through both scenerios and could feel good about singing either of the two themes.... just my two cents worth...... thanks for everybody's insight on this, 60 cycle hum On 10 Mar 2003 00:38:28 GMT, email-address-deleted (TracyLOZ) wrote: >>She is probably not old >>enough to be that nostalgic about her childhood. > >Cough cough, splutter splutter!....oh, I see, that COULD have been a >compliment, lol! > >Truly, I feel most passionate about this!
