No, Lil' Markie is not a cutting-edge rap star, he's a grown man (and a
fundie whack-job) who attempts to sing in the voice of a young child--but
ends up sounding more like Donald Duck. I came across the following web
site, and thought the group might find it hilarious/revolting/disturbing.
It includes a link to a song called "Diary of an Unborn Child."
I actually remember this song from the benighted days of my childhood, when
I was brought up as a southern Babtist and attended a private Christian
school at the same campus where our church was located. This guy actually
came and sang at our church once during a revival, and this was one of the
songs he sang--it still sticks out in my mind after almost 20 years. It
disturbed me then, and I was still in brainwashed-fundie mode. And we had
LOTS of guys like this come through and perform at our church, or at the
Wednesday chapel services that my school held. <shudder>
