I find this issue to be one of the stickiest in the whole game. On the one hand, you don't want a six screen entrance for what may turn out to be a two screen match. But at the same time, I find that entrances that lack lyric content bore me. That it's just a lump of prose to be skirted over so I can get into the match. And then there's the matchwriter in me. I absolutely, positively cannot get into a matchwriting zone if I don't have both men's entrances. I need to see the matches I'm writing just as if I were watching them on TV. And for that I gotta see how they come out. What kind of mood the character's in, what rituals they have et cetera. The biggest problem I'd say is how you keep them fresh so they don't get to stock, skimworthy filler. I find whenever I'm doing an in-ring or an appy or anything when I need to do an intro that chereographing my character's actions is always the toughest part. I really wish the phenomenon could be done away with because it's such a pain in the tookis. But that would also take away from the realism of the game and blur the mental images we're all trying to create. And as we all now the entrance starts with the theme. And as the other posters have said, choosing one that fits is an art that too many handlers overlook.
