Okay guys, before I get any guff let me say there on songs on several lists I want to address and am afraid of forgetting some by consolidating into one post.. Please don't think I'm flooding for flooding sake. >1. Cream - White Room >2. Led Zeppelin - Over the Hills and Far Away >3. Lynrd Skynrd - Sweet Home Alabama >4. Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze >5. Lynrd Skynrd - Freebird >6. Lynrd Skynrd - Tuesday's Gone >7. George Harrison - Here Comes The Sun >8. Led Zeppelin - House Of The Holy >9. Tom Petty(More of a folk artist then rock IMO.) - Free Falling >10. W.A.S.P. - Paint It Black >-Drew Kutler Excellent list. Love the high Skynrd content. Big fan of swamp rock. But you're 9 and 10 I gotta touch on. You may be technically right about Tom Petty but for most radio programmers that's splitting hairs. Petty can be on this list without qualification. WASP on the other hand is a concern. I don't know if things are different in your city but on the Classic Rock stations I've heard, hair metal hasn't qualified. Which is a bummer in my mind because it's got a strong vibrant energy that's undeniable. It may not be the most original or poetic lyric-wise. But considering the image most of the hair guys were projecting, that's forgivable. I don't generally expect pretty speech from bad boys.
