From what friends said if you were sitting beyond the 10th row you couldn't
make out a word that Terfel or Christin were saying.
I thought Terfel needed seasoning in the role; he didn't approach the emotional
depth of George Hearn or Len Cariou. Christian seemed to be doing an Angela
Lansbury impersonation -- and badly.
Nathan Gunn was easily the standout. Cangelosi was a joke. He seemed to have
wondered in from Sunset Boulevard or Freaks.
