The music is trite and the lyric is contrived. Both are done in a style that has been out of date for a decade at least. The only good thing about the Enterprise theme is that at least they had the sense to use a Barry Manilow clone and not the real thing. The film sequence in the background could have been put together by a very bright high school visual arts class, or a mediocre college class. Other ST series' intro splashes had some glaring weaknesses (the Giant Predatory Vulva In Outer Space, for instance), but gee whiz......
