But to answer Debbie's reply in addition to yours--I only bought "junk" Christian merchandise when the kids craved it (tiny plastic pictures of Jesus with tiny easel, glow in the dark praying hands that for some reason comforted her when Lora was in her nightmares-stage, that sort of thing). Most of the "stuff" we bought through the years were things like high-quality t-shirts with catchy graphics/slogans and top-notch baseball caps with stylish embroidered emblems. (Lora's favorite, that was worn on many missions trips, proclaimed "John III:XVI" and "Hellfighter" both tastely embroidered.) And of course--music.
