My buddy at church said he heard Bono (U2) proclaiming the faith at a concert, but at the same time have an atheist-like person for a bass player. If you have to really dig in the band's literature for Christian content, I seriously doubt they are. You should see them openly proclaiming Jesus as Lord and other similar messages. Check out Jars of Clay. They are more on the alternative side of rock. Their Eleventh Hour and Furthermore albums are pretty good. The newer dc Talk stuff is more rock than "rap crap (tm)". :) Stavesacre is a pretty good hard rock band and Veni Domeine (sp?) is a Queensryche-like sounding band. Go to a lyrics website and compare the lyrics between known Christian bands and your list. I've seen some links on sites that point to a few "Christ friendly" songs from bands on your list, but doesn't make the band itself Christian. Afterall, the song 'Damn' from Matchbox 20 isn't something that would come out of a truly Christian band. -- Tim.
