Hiya Greg:
Me too, waiting on that review...I heard from CBL two days ago, just back
from Hawaii with Carlos Bendfeldt and he says there should be a
review/interview/article in a British CG mag coming out that may be
reprinted in Soundboard... We'll see...
Have JUST completed writing 3 small new pieces for CBL for his upcoming
album of New Christmas music which I hope he will include. They are called
The Gifts of the Magi and are Very Simple and Easy to play and I hope they
are well received. Perhaps I'll post them up. Lemme just catch my
breath... They've taken up my attention for the last month.
As for my piece, Love Rio? I can't make an unbiased opinion! Gimme a
break! I'll be posting that up too. I'm taking a week off from writing and
then I get back up and complete the next movement of this sonata. These
are BIGGER pieces and require ALL the skills a GREAT CG player can summon.
I didn't set out to write something that would be Hard, just wanted to
write down what I hear and hope there are players out there that want to
take up the challenges that the music I hear bring.
God, I wish I were a better player...
