Oh Vienna, no question!!!! It isn't terribly cold (although it did snow, the day I got off at the wrong U-bahn station, and had to walk ten blocks to my hotel). The stores are decorated (as they are in the U.S.), restaurants are offering special holiday fare, there are programs of Christmas music, and the Christmas street fairs alone are almost worth the trip. The wonderful smells of hot spiced punch, cooking sausages, etc., the fresh roasted chestnuts and potato slices in paper cones to warm your fingers while you walk.... I can't imagine a more romantic place to be, young and in love, with my chosen spouse at my side!
