Was it definately a piece of already existant classical music? The
music for the Tom and Jerry cartoons was mostly composed by Scott
Bradley, who wrote in a fusion of jazz and classical styles and
worked lots of well known pieces of popular and classical music
into his scores.
The title of the episode in question would help.
