Guitar concertos might work - the famous Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo, also Castlenuovo-Tedesco. Branford Marsalis made a CD called Romances for Saxaphone. Familiar classical pieces. Very nice - romantic even. Columbia MK 42122. Rather early CD. The soundtrack to The Unbearable Lightness of Being is excerpts of the music of Janacek, except for Hey Jude sung in (I assume) Czech ! Mostly strings. Also Symphonc Tango, on Teldec1-76997-2. Music of Piazzola and others. The Brandenburgs as Background Music? Too much variety, too much intensity. don
