Very slightly OT: Computer speakers for classical music

I am posting to classical music groups because of unsatisfactory
responses I've received from computer groups. I am happy with my main
stereo system, but would like better computer speakers for listening
to CDs while I'm working on the computer, riding my exercise bike
(which is in the computer room), and listening to internet opera. The
computer groups recommended speakers on how they worked in video games
surround sound and in DVD movies.
I am primarily interested in classical music/opera, probably with 2
main speakers and a subwoofer. Based on internet reviews, I ordered a
Cambridge system SCW Megaworks 213. The main speakers sound fine, but
the subwoofer appeared to be flimsy: the detachable power cord kept
falling out, the spring-type speakers terminals were loose, and after
two days the subwoofer stopped working. I saw reviews of a similar
Klipsch system, but the reviewers complained of the speaker wires
becoming loose. The Klipsch and the Cambridge received the best
reviews, but these appeared to be based on their use in computer
games,
Before I return the Cambridge speakers, I would appreciate advice from
classical music listeners. If any of you have had good experience with
Cambridge, I will ask for an exchange and try again (they have a
45-day return policy) and I may have just had a lemon. Should I try
the Klipsch? I would appreciate your suggestions based on your
experience on any speakers . Thank you.
