Appreciation of Classical Music

If you have ever wondered how much people absorb when classical music is
played, here is a story which might be relevant:
My wife went to a meeting in which it was decided to play some nice
classical music in the background. Piano's greatest hits or the like.
After having heard the Chopin Fantaisie Impromptu for the 9th time, my shy
wife asked if someone could have a look at the CD player. No one else had
noticed anything, and of course, they discovered that it had been set on
Repeat Track.
