I was in Maui last Sept, and was amazed by Hawaii NPR: They
play real classical music for a good part of the day. There was
a very entertaining Sunday eve show featuring clever Brits chatting
about their favorite recordings. Even Karl Haas's oily condescension
didn't both me the way it used to in the 80s, before Seattle's KUOW
replaced all classical music with yuppie-babble. Bill in Seattle
