In case anyone was interested, I believe that John Willams actually has an established group of composers who writes music in his name. I forgot what the name of the company was, but a lot of his commercial output is done through an organization and not necessarily written solely by the composer which makes him seem more prolific than he actually is. Lot of true classical fans don't like his music because they're easily digestable and pretty predictable because they rehash the same chord progressions over and over. Like I said above, it's become easy enough to write so that others can just write assembly style to meet the demands of the media. Hence why some people consider him to be a "sell-out". Not that there's anything wrong with that, because one way for musicians to make a living is to meet the damands of the public. I know he's written some pieces apart from the commercial arena that are pretty nice stuff. It's also a good way to get people interested in classical music...I'd be lying if I said he didn't have an impact on my interest in the genre when I was younger.
