In fact, any critique of some songs sounding a bit, maybe, sort of country, is
often prefaced with a disclaimer, as in 'country really aint my bag/scene/not
in to this genre' et al.
As if country is less somehow than any other genre; which it certainly isn't.
One has to actually write a lyric that tells a story in country :-)
