From: email-address-deleted (Country=A0Boy): <<Don't be so sure. You really don't know much about them, do you?>> This one takes the cake, CB. As a matter of fact, I know a lot more about them than you think. Before they got signed to Lyric Sreet, 2/3 of the group used to play weekly at a bar in Nashville that I frequented at the time. In fact, it was almost my second home for a while. You know, the type of place where all the regulars knew each other, the owners would host private after hours parties for us and the bartenders would have your beer opened and waiting as soon as you walked through the door (yeah, I spent entirely too much time there). They still pop in from time to time, during Fan Fair or CRS. I've seen them play on numerous occasions and kind of knew the guys. I've heard them do Merle Haggard and George Jones, so I know what they're capable of. That's what people in Printer's Alley want to hear. Unfortunately, with the record deal came the MTV style clothes and the schmaltzy pop music. That's what the teenage girls want to hear. It's selling records, so good for them. But that doesn't change my opinion of them being sellouts and bad pop artists. Not to mention, the lead singer (who wasn't with them in the bar days) sucks. You'll argue that the country music industry needs them for their record sales, but I say it would be a lot better off artistically without them -HD
