You would be pressed to find classic country on most country music radio stations. Why should Johnny Cash or Merle Haggard have to sing with a "new country artists?" Cash's and Haggard's newest albums are miles ahead of what is cansidered mainstream today. The "new country" is mostly crap. It's material is lightweight compared to classic country. I'm know there are some great new artists out there, but they are not being played on the radio. Country music's prime passed a long time ago.
