100 Greatest Songs of Country Music 6 Hour Extravaganza

For anyone who has not yet seen the 6 hour CMT special of the 100
greatest songs of Country Music, it is absolutely fabulous. If anyone
is a fan of country music, this is a must for you.
It was wonderful to see John singing "Take Me Home Country Roads" which
came in at #18. Also, several folks talked about the song (can't
remember now who all had something to say except for Brad Paisley and
Toby Keith). In the two hour (last part of the 6 hours) portion where
there were performers who performed the top 12 country songs, Brad
Paisley and Steve Wariner played and sang "Country Roads" again. Steve
sounded much better than Brad on the vocal on this, but they are both
excellent guitar players. They nailed "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" which
is purely instrumental.
Anyway, it was great to know that my personal favorite JD song (the one
that caused me to be become a lifelong fan of John Denver's music) did
make it into the top 100 and made it clear up to #18.
A great way to spend an afternoon while being down due to back problems!
