The only song *copyrighted* to Lennon and Harrison is "Cry For A
Shadow". There are two other songs that just about qualify as joint

backing group. There was probably a bit of envy in that.
There's another Beatle song which shares this "Hey Good Looking"

BEATLES 65 is a U.S.-Capital concoction of songs the Beatles recorded
in 1964, mostly for BEATLES FOR SALE. He uses both his Country Gent
and Tennessean a lot. Source is Everett.

That should read "guitars" -- the solo is played by Harrison and
Lennon in unison, both playing strats. Source is Tom Hartman who asked

Lord, who doesn't know "Scrambled Eggs". Alma Cogan's daughter claims
that she'd just made some scrambled eggs as Paul struggled to find
lyrics for the tune. The legs were supposed to have been inspired by
her famous mum. The book YESTERDAY AND TODAY goes into some detail on
the topic.

On stage he used a Gretsch. He uses a Jose Ramirez on the recording.

He plays a 12-string acoustic. I think Everett says it was John's
Framus. John played some acoustic guitar and Paul played a nylon
string. There's a couple of bum notes in the intro.

Lennon claims the whole song, lick, break etc. Multiple sources, but
probably originally from LENNON REMEMBERS or the 1980 Playboy
interview. Lennon plays similar stuff in the fast version of
"Revolution".

Harrison thinks John had seen the cover of a Toots Thielemans album (a
jazz guitarist). I think that story was in BEATLES GEAR. However, it
was also largely accidental that the store happened to have a 325.

"Please" as sung by Bing Crosby. Lennon was also inspired by "Only The
Lonely" by Roy Orbison. Lennon later cited the two songwriters with
regard to another song. Common knowledge -- probably in Lewisohn or
Everett.
Lennon loved using "please" as the key word. I guess it was him who
inserted it into "Love Me Do" and he has "please, please help me" as
the climax of "Help!".
