The thing is, this song is good for our troops. And in a way, it's good for the fighting spirit within us all. Some things are worth fighting for. Not since Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" has a patriotic song so moved me as Worley's "Have you Forgotten". It makes your heart swell with emotion and pride when you hear it. By now hundreds of song have been written about 9/11 but none have had the simple power of Worley's melody (its very popularity is a confirmation of that). The sad truth is, many of us HAVE forgotten what it felt like that day. Some even go out of their way not to think about it, but it needs to stay fresh in our collective memory, as the song says. When you question the war, remember the melody of "Have you forgotten?" and chances are, if you really take the song to heart, you will cast your ill-conceived doubts aside and support our troops AND their mission whole-heartedly. Want to get a war protester to quit protesting? Try having them listen to this song. It literally causes some of them to put down their anti-war (and anti-Bush) signs and go home and put a yellow ribbon up instead. The song is THAT powerful. I've witnessed it. Please, for the sake of our troops, don't say you support them but NOT what they are fighting for. That's not the kind of morale booster they need. Support the troops AND the mission. THAT is what they need. Peace, people. Crazy HH
