DUDE!!!! It's very much a thing for dancers. WHAT is an SCA night without the dancing (and alcohol)? I'd like to see one night without, just doesn't work all that well. Every event I've ever gone to has some type of belly dancing going on, in Adenveldt and Artemisia. Tribal sytle is different than Caberett style of dancing. And I've seen many a girls (and guys) dance in this type of belt for tribal dancing within and out of the SCA/Ren-faire societies. You don't need to metal, coins and bells to have a belly belt. I think a few people really need to get out to see what the belly dance culture truely and really is suppose to be before making such assumptions. BTW... it's a beautiful belt!!! Ashé'el
