When at a restaurant in a company where people know me as ballroom dasncer, I am supposed to "dance". How I HATE these "slow" and "fast" restaurant dances! I could be doing swing, or salsa, or nc2s or whatever, but I hate people gaping at me (free of charge :-) My advices that worked well for me (I was pretty nerdy in my best years) (1) Find the kind of dance you like most of all and go to the places where they are danced. (2) Dance as much as possible at home, alone, where no one sees you, until you become confident. (3) Decide for yourself, why are you dancing. From your message it seems that is is not much fun for you :-(. So, what is in dance for you? Is it a social function, an exercise, or what? You write: << People who can dance should be happy -- it is a very nice gift (or whatever) to have such a freedom of heart. >> : While some are "natural" dancers, for many dancing is just another knack that can be mastered by persistent exercise. (For many this mastering replaces the joy of dance itself (tongue in cheek :-)) Did you take any dance lessons? ;mikkalai ''''
