Early Dance & Play Workshops June 7-8 in Boston

The Boston Early Harp Symposium is offering two workshops during their conference preceding the Boston Early Music Festival Early instrumentalists at the intermediate to advanced level are invited to take part. INVITATION Saturday June 7 at the Boston Conservatory 2-5 p.m. RENAISSANCE DANCE & PLAY Dance instructors Kaspar Mainz and Dorrie Olsson. Instrumental coaches Judy Kadar, Nancy Thym. Opportunties to play the music (intermediate to advance early instruments) and learn the dances (beginner to intermediate level). Dances include branles, pavan, alman, galliard. Those who wish to dance only are welcome, as are musicians who just want to play. Fee $35 Registration deadline: June 1 Sunday, June 8 at the Boston Conservatory 2-5 p.m. BAROQUE DANCE & PLAY Dance instructors Kaspar Mainz and Dorrie Olsson. Instrumental coaches Judy Kadar, Nancy Thym. Opportunties to play the music (intermediate to advance early instruments) and learn the dances (beginner to intermediate level). Dances include menuet, bourree, saraband, gigue. Those who wish to dance only are welcome, as are musicians who just want to play.
