In article <email-address-deleted>, email-address-deleted, Bill Murphy shouted out the following words of wit... > What is this I hear about 40K music. Has anyone heard it. Is it any good. > Where can I buy it. I think it is German. I think the CD is called "The > sound of Warhammer 40,000" it is in the soundtrack section. > There was some site doing really REALLY CRAP techno music (we're talking not even able to create interesting beat loops) and then trying to sell it as 40K background music. And I do believe it's the one you're speaking of. It was like bad techno elevator music and totally sucked dick - and those were the better track samples. There were a CD's worth free mp3's (which were a hell of a lot better than the crap on that commercial site) and even a printable cover art download for a CD available from the 40K Konversions web site - however they had to take it off the site as they were getting hammered for bandwidth charges. It was a lot slicker and reflected a lot more talent than the stuff on that 40K techno site that was apparently approved by GW. The 40K Konversions guys even got a node from Dan Abnet (spelling?) - Author of the Gaunt's Ghost series of 40K novels in one of his recent books. Other than that - all I can think of are the older Metal stuff from Bolt Thrower et al. Myrmidon -- #1582. I think they call it Warhammer "40K" because that is how much you are going to have to make per year in order to play. - Eric Noland # 1082. Pound for pound I can buy cocaine cheaper than raise a Warhammer army - Roy Cox http://www.PetitionOnline.com/gwprice/ **** RGMW FAQ: http://www.rgmw.org Or... http://www.sheppard.demon.co.uk/rgmw_faq/rgmw_faq.htm
