Interesting theory K, but I don't fully buy it.
Well... all you have to do is go to the D and you can see why Techno music was
made.
House.... I'd have to disagree. Chicago is as racially mixed as most
metropolitans... and although the originators of house were black - they were
also gay... and I think that had a lot to do with it. Also, although Chicago
got its names an 303 from Chicago (and bless them for that) Knuckles imported
the sound from NY... early Chitown stuff is not much different than early NY
proto-house, though that stuff was very overshadowed by the oncoming of
hip-hop.
Go-go is just strange... so no comment. Chocolate City is it's own little
world.
What about Miami and Bass?
Houston and screw?
