well for me, i am a christian and i understand where you're coming from. the
thing is, at least with AI and lyric threads, there's something that everyone
can participate in. for the prayer threads, the majority of the people that
read them really don't think about them again after they close out the post
(and since you say you do, good for you. wish i could) and so it seems kind
of...well... odd to continue to post prayer thread after prayer thread about
people we don't know and who don't affect our lives. i know that sounds harsh,
but most people have enough to deal with that they don't even think about the
threads. it would make more sense to IM people on the newsgroup who you KNOW
cares and would devote the time to praying for your problems rather than post
it to a bunch of strangers. but that's just how i see it...
for me, i skip over them or just skim them just to see what's up, so i really
don't mind them. i'm just trying to explain where the others are coming from
and that i understand their perspective.
