Honestly I can't see how you could think he has recessed. The original poets
shows were sort of big rock with no distortion. 1 month later they come back
with Djali material, all acoustic rock that included the gospel version of
GGSTWOF, long meandering songs, silly little ditties (Silly Sally - vomits).
And then the band returns with more songs, a further refined style, songs
rewritten for 3 guitar parts. And now we have songs with organs and violins
as regular aspects of the show.
Anyway I don't see recession, I see huge growth. It is a shame that MSOTS
does not reflect that growth, but as a fan who is willing to delve into the
bootlegs for a fix, its permissible - just.
