I can see them saying in general they were influenced by country music, and maybe even one or two of the band members mentioning those artists specifically, but even allowing for only one member of each band to specify the Carters, Rodgers AND Waters, I say it never happened. As I said before, and I'll stand by my theory, it ALL roots back to gospel music, which many people say was the original country music. Mary
