Did all the black singers and groups pay homage to Leiber and Stoller???
We all know Elvis didnt invent rock n roll. He was just rock n rolls first
superstar. Most of the Kings biggest hits were written by white people (
Leiber and stoller) Again, please clarify, how do you feel the king should have paid homage?
He constantly said that the blues and gospel music were his two biggest
influences. He has said countless times that his music was the mixture of
the two, with a pinch of country. Look what he did with 'blue moon of
kentucky'. He turned it into a rockabilly rocker, from a folky country
song. Elvis has listed/ stated his influences on countless of occasions. Again, just curios, how do you feel he should have paid homage? What do
you think he should have said or done? Elvis Presley never once claimed
that he invented rock n roll. Jason~~
