There are various groups which discuss country music such as county.classic and country.western. I checked my resource material and discovered Haggard wrote the song and recorded it on an album but, if he released it as a single, it never made the top 100 chart. A version by the Hagers, two twins who sang on Hee-Haw, reached No. 56 in 1970. That appears to be the only chart version although I recall hearing a version by Rex Allen Jr.
