We've spread onto three greatcountry groups, each with a dozen or more mp3's that you won't find at most record stores, e.g., Jimmy Day Live in Berlin playing "Danny Boy", original demos for several classics, the first song Donny Lytle (later Donny Young, then Johnny Paycheck) ever recorded (with Roger Miller), etc. And, just for the fun of it, the original Archie Campbell "Cockfight." greatcountry2 has a song Billy Grammer cut for a label that never got off the ground that's especially appropriate, "Unknown Soldier." Billy, who has recovered nicely from emergency heart surgery, doesn't see so well, but tells me he hopes to be in Turkey, TX in late April for Bob Wills Day, he's written a song about Bob and Turkey. Billy says he only did the song once on the Friday Night Frolics, but he's had questions about it through the decades. It's available to the public for the first time ever, free. As are the rest of the tunes. Click on the above link to join us.
