From the bits of discussion I've seen under this subject header, someone
must have misunderstood what I was talking about when I started the thread
by inviting people to visit my "Blues Audio Archive" to hear some great
radio. I am not a Blues DJ, and none of this falls into that category at
all. These are all "news and information" type programs... things like
interviews, documentaries, and features. Most of it is stuff produced by
National Public Radio. None of it is a DJ playing records. I don't know
what I said that caused it to turn into some sort of dispute about
webcasting Blues DJs, but it has nothing to do with that. It is, however,
all quite enjoyable. (and unlike local broadcasts it is available on
demand.)
Available programming includes...
Alan Lomax Remembered
Goin' Back To Sweet Memphis
A History of the Blues in the Tampa Bay Area
Cephas & Wiggins
B.B. King's Endless Blues Highways
Bonnie Raitt Interview
The Blues Are All Right With Me
Waterman on Robert Lockwood Jr
Lea Gilmore live #1 (mp3)
Lea Gilmore live #2 (mp3)
Highway 61 Revisited
Shemekia Copeland
Louis Armstrong's West End Blues
Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey
Sam Phillips - Legacy of Sun Records
Little Charlie & The Nightcats
Alvin Youngblood Hart
Jay McShann
P.W. Fenton
New Port Richey, Florida
