In an idle few minutes I decided to put together a blues festival that would
last 2 days. My dream, so my choice.
The location for me would be @ San Francisco Blues festival's ground.
The first three are classic blues players and I'm a huge fan. Will I ever see
them playing live?
Otis Rush
Bobby Bland
Little Milton
Rod Piazza & The Mighty Fliers - the nearest I came to seeing them play was
when they were playing Famous Dave's in Chicago the night of the day I was
flying back to the UK.
Larry Garner - seen @ Legends in Chicago with a tiny audience. Excellent.
Rusty Zinn - seen @ Biscuits & Blues in San Francisco
Might Mo Rodgers - a stellar performance @ Bishopstock Festival (UK)
Guy Davis - heard & bought 'Buck Naked & Free' and loved him ever since
Roy Rodgers - nearest I got was when he was playing @ Amoeba Records in San
Francisco and I found out about it the day after
Martin Trimble - outstanding young player performance @ Burnley Blues
Festival
Joanne Shaw Taylor - outstanding young player performance @ Burnley Blues
Festival and I'm still waiting for her first CD
Eddie Martin Band - Bristol (UK) based, never a duff performance
Mike Andersen Band - Danish band seen @ 2003 Burnley Blues Festival
B B & The Blues Shacks - German Band seen @ Burnley Blues Festival
And if I sneak in a surprise act it'll be Johnny Rawls.
Oh well! I can dream can't I?
Mike
