Just got a flyer in the mail today with a partial artist listing
for this year's Guelph Jazz Festival, Sept 3-7. Looks like it's
shaping up to be a good one. Announced so far:
* Evan Parker solo
* Evan Parker with Sarah Peebles & Nilan Perera (who?)
* Willem Breuker Kollektief
* Steve Lacy's "Beat Suite" Quintet with George Lewis
* Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre
* Mark Dresser Trio
* Myra Melford with Mark Taylor & Bourque Simmons (who?)
* Damo Suzuki & the Excalceolators
* Martin Tetreault
* "Quebecite", a "jazz opera" by D.D. Jackson
Okay, that last one sounds a bit scary.
