I have not been there, but several friends of mine have, and they say it
is very good. It is a small town on the West Coast of Norway, but
somehow they have attracted big names; Miles and Pastorius have played
there (although they'll not come this year :-), and many others.
Regarded by many as the finest jazz festival in Norway. Though, I
usually go to nattjazz (www.nattjazz.no) and Vossa jazz
(www.vossajazz.no) instead, since it is closer to where I live. Also
recommended.
