I mean, for just to play jazz piano one must get classical education?? (I must tell that this is not nedeed in the case of jazz guitar education). If not, then taking classical piano training it's a wasting time approach if all I want to do is learning to play and to improvise over standars?? if the case it's yes, then the well known master of jazz piano were classical trained in their former stages?? What it is the classic structure (if any) for jazz piano education method?? (i.e. in jazz guitar you have first theory, chords sight-reading, ear-trainig. Then, scales, arpeggios, harmony, comping, improvisation, etc, etc. I mean, in general lines all the jazz methods for guitars seems standards, therefore my last question: there are such classic jazz method for piano that ignores completly the classical/legit methods? Thanks for the info.
