CDG Video Format

I am EXTREMELY new to Karaoke and am still looking into purchasing a
machine. I need to know if CDG's have different video formats based on the
country. For example, VHS tapes and DVD's in the United States and England
are different video formats (NTSC and PAL, respectively). Is this also true
of Karaoke CDGs ?
So, if I have a CDG made in England, would I be able to play it and see the
video properly on an American Karaoke machine?
