Point of fact. There was already a Karaoke game on the PS2 in Japan.
Several in fact. One was called Yaoke no Mariko or something like
that. The sales was good enough for them to create a sequel, but we're
not talking about RPG level sales here. I'm guessing 100K max.. and
that's on the PS2. An XBOX Karaoke machine would be lucky to make 10K
in Japan.. very lucky. As for North America, none of these games ever
got ported, that tells you how much confidence they have for its
success in North America.
