Homemade Karaoke System

Hi there. I am researching a way to create my own homemade Karaoke system. So far, I've decided to use an old computer with karaoke midi files, since these files are cheap and easy to find. I'm planning to output the video from the computer to an Onkyo receiver, which will in turn be output to my TV (using a TV-out video card). For audio, I'll output directly from my sound card to the receiver as well. However, the part I'm stuck on is the microphones. How do I incorporate microphone inputs into the equation? I have a hunch I'll need a karaoke mixer, such as the Vocopro DA-1000, which I saw on Ebay. Am I headed in the right direction? Would I output the sound card to the mixer, and then from the mixer to the receiver? By the way, has anyone used the Encore Karaoke "all-in-one" mic? Is it any good? Looks like it's just midi karaoke files on a SD card...
