Dear friends, I hope you're well. I'm doing a recital this summer with three colleagues. I am a lyric baritone, and I am teaming with a lyric soprano, a lyric mezzo soprano, and a lyric tenor. We're planning to do a program of arias, duets, trios, and quartets from operas. I'd really appreciate input from RMO. Each singer will be doing two arias, and then we will each participate in different duets and things. I've decided to do Korngold's "Mein sehnen" and Donizetti's "Bella siccome." The tenor and the soprano have decided to do the duet from "l'Elisir." I've looked at "Dunque io son" and the baritone/soprano love duet from "I Pagliacci." Can you recommend any other things for lyric singers? What would you love to see on a program? What could you live without? Please respond to email-address-deleted Thank you!
