I'm Only Sleeping lyric - Keeping "a lie" on the world going by my window?

Hey Guys,
I'm pretty new to the Beatles and even newer to dissecting their
lyrics and underlying meaning... but from the first time I heard I'm
Only Sleeping I thought the initial lyric "Keeping an eye" changes to
"Keeping a lie" at 2:04. And I thought that was a pretty cool little
twist.
But I can't see any mention of this in the usenet archives. Shocking. Anyone else hear this. Or am I high or low?
