Ok, so here I am again to bother you with another lyric. My last post got some rightful criticism concering rhyme schemes, so I've tried to do this one a bit different. It is another song altogether, of course. Like before,I can't provide you with any music. Speeding up was chosen as the hook/title because of an intensity shift in the chorus where chords foreign to the key comes in. Please let me know if my tree image is too corny, I have a feeling it might be, though I like it for some odd reason. Thanks for reading, Carl ========================================== Speeding up Look at the tree, aiming so high just like people try and try it does what it can do to get a view what if it could pull up its roots and put on some walking boots If life could change for trees what would it do well I can change and I will make it new Chorus I can't live life half-heartedly and so I call the bluff I'm pulling out of boredom and I'm speeding up I'm sorry if you feel that you are left here in the rough But I can't see the chains that keep you cuffed I'm pulling out of this and speeding up I'm speeding up Looking around - life is too slow and I don't seem to find the flow I can't put up with things I don't believe This world thinks it's got me checkmate just a sec, I'll accelerate there comes a time when everyone must leave and search out for a place where they can breathe
