Re: Motown Whiskey/Wine lyric - a summary

Thought it might be useful to summarise:
- The lyrics include a verse where the singer intones something along the lines of "he drinks whiskey, while they drink wine"
- the whiskey/wine reference is one line of many and not what the main theme of the song (which is I think may be about how the subject of the song is one hip dude)
- I think this is a Motown era song. From the 60's or 70's
- The singer has a very, very deep voice - could be Isaac Hayes, or someone in a similar register.
