Tell you what, I believe that my port (whatever you may think of it) is both stable and safe in it's intended environment if used as outlined.. You believe that it just can't be based on your last post.. I stand by it's record in production here.. If you prove to be right in the course of time - I'll put a intranet only cyber-hazard stamp on top of the free download.. No pwob - it's a cost center (packet wise) to me anyway.. I agree that it is basic and am defending its efficacy as any shortcomings it inherently has - as it is easy to use and understand for folks not as in depth as you and I.. Your position is that it could be better and it is open to compromise and I'm some sort of hepster duffus.. OK - what the hell - I'm old enough to have been accused of worse and several folks who don't dig the whole streaming music thing agree with you at great depth.. I think you're waving it around for effect - you've probably been accused of worse too.. A variant of the port runs a fairly deep lyric/artist/genre search engine though my sometimes surprisingly busy personal site below.. No one has managed to crash it yet and it has proved otherwise completely stable for the past 8 months - in a windows OS perl environment.. Which - you are just going to have to read up on sometime as it's not the same and doesn't offer the latitude of the unix environment.. http://www.xav.com/perl/faq/Windows/ActivePerl-Winfaq5.html I'm willing to leave it at that too.. Both your explanations and mine are safely permanently recorded in case anyone ever bothers to look it up..
