Chris, I never thought about songs I know by heart. With most of them, I forget a line or two, but know the rest. I used to love to play "After You've Gone" on the piano. There were so many other favorites. But my most favorite is "Maria Elena" because that's the song which motivated me to learn to play the piano. My mom would play it and I couldn't wait to play it myself. The original sheet music of "Maria Elena" which my mom used, sits proudly on my piano, waiting to be played. It's bright yellow with green printing and blue decor. This copy is probably from 1941. "Music and Spanish Lyric by Lorenzo Barcelata. English Lyric by S.K. Russell." ---Karen "chris grimsey" <email-address-deleted> wrote > Dear Karen > I'm so happy that you can hear my recommendation. I was sad that Knut > couldn't! I also love these oldies.
