It is always said a good system should able to sound almost like live music performance. In that premises, Is live performance means that live without sound amplification or live with sound amplification.? I.e. sound coming out directly without microphone and speakers. From my personal experience, I can say that vocal without the aids of microphone sounded a bit lacking the bite that one can hear thru the system. I have listened to live music in several places and always thought that unless it is amplified the sound just lacks the bite and focus that on associate with a proper setup. However, the experience in an orchestra it is entirely a different feeling. Yes, that music though unamplified it sounded elevating. In the case of live performance thru amplified sound, it always is satisfying to listen. But what I don't understand is why a sound that was produced through a professional amplifier and less than $1000 JBL, Yahama or Bose type speakers can be more rewarding than your system which cost several $100000. Is the volume is the issue or is it the recording and reproducing process degrades the sound so much? Cheers/Chelvam.
