Can a PC's CD Drive burn to 'music' cd-r media?

I just bought a pack of TDK Music CD-R from Costco. Previously, I've burned WAV files to some CDRs from Office Depot and they wouldn't play in my home (non-PC) CD player. I ended up borrowing a couple others from a friend, burned those on my PC, and they played fine in my home CD player. But I can't find his kind anymore. So when I went to Costco, I purposely bought these "music" CDRs thinking they're more compatible with CD players. The problem is that now I've read some things about how these discs can't be used in COMPUTER burners. And instead, they must used only by standalone audio burners. Other people seem to disagree. Before I open the darn package, can someone tell me if these discs are likely to be burnable by my Plextor 12/10/32A drive? If not, can someone suggest a very common kind of data CDRs that work with most older home CD players?
